Therefore he only shows up for a moment on Kida's doorstep, long enough to knock loudly on the door and disappear once more in a rustle of wings, leaving behind a relatively intact cardboard box sitting outside it.
In the box is a collection of assorted supplies, including both chalk and a bottle of ink, some blank parchment, a small bag of rock salt, two bottles of plain-looking but very clear water, a simple rosary, and a stack of notes.
The top page is handwritten in Japanese, though it's a bit older of a form than is commonly used now. The kana is all tiny any perfectly formed, which is a pretty good indicator of who the author is even if the other items included didn't already make it obvious.]
Demons are not weak against much, particularly powerful ones. None of this will help you if you choose to seek one out for vengeance, but it will protect you in an emergency, and perhaps you will find creative uses for them nonetheless.
Holy water will burn for a time, whether splashed on a demon or if they consume it. It is a delaying tactic, or an identifying one, and does not cause permanent damage.
Salt can be used like holy water, or to form barriers. Salt lines cannot be crossed by demons, but they have other ways of disrupting the lines.
An exorcism would likely not work here, but I have included the quickest of them, which is in Latin. Reciting even part of it will cause some harm and can be used as a last attempt to protect oneself.
Enclosed are also diagrams demonstrating how to draw a Devil's Trap. They will trap a demon in place, if one steps into them. Powerful demons have several tactics to break them and it isn't wise to use one unless you are prepared to make one extremely angry. I have also included information on creating more holy water, which requires the rosary.
